On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Department of Health & Human Services and The Women’s Health Summit Collaborative will be presenting the annual Women’s Health Summit: “Feel Better, Eat Better, Live Better.”
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The Women’s Health Summit promotes the health of our county’s women through the presentation of various collections of informative workshops on exercise, nutrition, and much more.”
The free summit will include two workshop sessions promoting movement, healthy living, and healthy eating through workshops such as self-defense, relaxation vision boards, line dancing, Jazz in Motion, how to plant and manage an herb garden, sleeping, Essential Oils 101, couponing, yoga and many others.
Freeholder Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services, said, “The summit will feature fifty provider tables that will be offering a variety of services such as free health screenings, free health information and links to providers with expertise on varying topics of interest and products related to health.”
The summit will be taking place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology located at 1360 Tanyard Road in Sewell. The summit offers free workshops, exhibitors, health screenings, refreshments, healthy snacks and door prizes as well as a variety of health related products and household items for purchase.
