Gloucester County releases date and time for annual Kids Fishing Contest

Press Release from Gloucester County Board of Freeholders

Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco announced that the 34th Annual free Kids Fishing Contest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Scotland Run Park in Clayton.
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “This catch and release contest is a fun way for kids to show off their fishing skills in a competitive, but friendly environment.”

Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco, Liaison to the Department of Parks, said, “Fishing is often a way for families to connect. We are proud to continue this tradition at Scotland Run Park and we encourage our young residents to come out and try out their fishing skills on September 8.”

Competitors are allowed one rod and one reel per person and must bring their own bait.
