Cecil passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 12.
Jane Cecil (née Koehlert) passed away peacefully at her home in Moorestown on Sunday, Aug. 12 at the age of 88 after a long battle with dementia.
A 1947 graduate of Lansdale High School, Jane attended Temple University (graduating with a degree in physical education) where she met William (Bill) Cecil. They married in 1951 and resided in Mt. Laurel for 27 years before relocating to their final home in Moorestown.
Jane used her degree as a substitute teacher in Mt. Laurel and Moorestown schools, and she worked later at Moana’s boutique in Cherry Hill and Fountain Flowers in Moorestown. Jane was also an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, helping to run the rummage sale and driving Evergreens residents on shopping expeditions. Jane golfed at the Moorestown Field Club, and she bowled on their team as well as participating in various bridge clubs with other circles of friends.
Predeceased by her husband Bill, Jane is survived by her daughters Joan A. Cecil and Linda A. Cecil (Jeffrey Gola) as well as her grandson Sean A. Cecil-Collins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Thursday Aug. 16 at noon at Trinity Episcopal Church 207 W. Main St. in Moorestown.
