Burlington County to host free shredding event for residents’ confidential documents on Sept. 9

Residents are urged to bring only “confidential” documents for shredding.

Burlington County will hold its next free paper shredding event for residents on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, located at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence.

According to the county, residents are urged to bring only “confidential” documents for shredding, such as bank and credit card statements, tax returns and papers with account numbers or social security numbers. These documents will be shredded on-site.

No binders, plastic folders, computer disks or plastic credit cards will be accepted, but papers with staples or paper clips are okay.

Up to four bags or boxes weighing no more than 10 pounds each per car will be accepted. Paper that has already been shredded can also be recycled at this event.

This free event is for Burlington County residents only. Identification is required. No businesses are allowed. For more information call (609) 499–1001 weekdays or email [email protected].
