Two young cousins are holding the event to honor their grandfather currently battling the disease.
On Aug. 11, Locals are invited to support young cousins Gabrielle Ferara and Brighid Walker, along with their friends and family, as they hold a charity car wash to raise funds in honor of their grandfather who is fighting pancreatic cancer.
When 12-year-old Gabrielle and 11-year-old Brighid learned of their grandfather’s recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, they jumped into action.
The girls decided to host a car wash to raise money for pancreatic cancer research at the American Cancer Society.
The Crush Cancer Car Wash One Car at a Time car wash will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Sunoco gas station at 721 S. Church St. in Mt. Laurel (also located across from Wawa).
Donations of any amount are accepted for car washes, and free pretzels are offered with any donation.
With this event, 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer.
