Event at Valenzano Family Winery Nov. 4 to raise funds, awareness
Registration is underway for the 2018 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk — South Jersey. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Valenzano Family Winery.
Many families have been touched by prostate cancer, the most common cancer diagnosed in men. A man dies from prostate cancer every 18 minutes. Raise awareness and funds to end this disease by declaring one number above others: zero. Zero prostate cancer cases and zero pain and suffering from the disease.
The event features a 5K run/walk, 1-mile walk, kids’ Superhero Dash for Dad, a virtual Snooze for Dudes program and post-race celebration. Participants will receives shirts, free food, the chance for prizes and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer. Participants age 21 and older (must show ID) will receive a free wine glass and wine on race day.
Money raised is invested around the country to provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing and education for men and families about prostate cancer.
