Police say the incident took place on July 17 on the 700 block of Roberts Lane.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On July 17 at approximately 1 a.m., Evesham Officers responded to the 700 block of Roberts Lane for a report of an alleged home burglary that occurred within the hour.
Police say an investigation determined that entry was gained through an unlocked rear door. Once inside, police say the alleged burglar ransacked the home, allegedly stealing approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags.
According to police, investigators canvassed the area and quickly developed a possible person of interest.
A search warrant was sought and granted for the person’s home in Camden City.
On the same date that the burglary occurred, Evesham Detectives, with the assistance of the Camden Metro Police Department, executed the search warrant at the Camden City home.
During the search warrant execution, police say investigators located and recovered the victim’s stolen property and seized $24,000 in U.S. currency along with a Honda Accord used in the commission of the crime.
Arrested:
A female, age 20, of Camden City, was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft. She was release on her own recognizance.
