Washington Township Education Foundation Golf Outing raises nearly $25,000 in support of programming

Press release from Washington Township school district

Special to The Sun: Washington Township Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf thanks tournament participants and corporate sponsors including Tournament Sponsors Bowman and Company, Brown & Brown and Remington Vernick during the dinner and awards celebration that followed golf.

In stark contrast to the May original date when torrential rains and cold temperatures forced postponement, the 22nd Annual Washington Township Education Foundation Golf Classic recently welcomed 104 golfers on a sensational early summer day at Wedgwood Country Club. The June 25th event raised nearly $25,000 to bolster the non-profit’s supplemental educational programming.

“From start to finish, we could not have asked for a better day,” WTEF president Charlie Doud said. “We had great weather, great golf and great giveaways. We truly value our corporate sponsors whose continued support allows our trustees to stage this tournament for the betterment of kids.”
