Shawnee High School takes on National Leadership Conference

Nine gold medals and one silver medal were presented to Shawnee students.

Shawnee High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America members took part in the 2018 National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Ga. from June 28 through July 2. During the competitive events sessions the following members earned medals:

Emma Adams (gold), Jordan Benstead (gold), Morgan Broderick (gold), Sarah Drexel (gold), Meghan Harms (gold), Claire Hauser (silver), Alexa McClane (gold), Grace McKinley (gold), Paige Trzaskawka (gold) and Carrington Windl (gold).

Advisor Ashley Gerber stated, “All ten students competed in various categories such as Life Event Planning, Illustrated Talk, Food Innovations, Entrepreneurship, and Recycle & Redesign. After tough competition Shawnee returned home with nine gold medals and one silver medal. This is an outstanding accomplishment by all students and I am so proud of each and every one of them for their dedication to their projects and professionalism during the conference.”
