Police arrested two 17 year-old juvenile males after they were allegedly spotted wandering between the two towns.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On July 6 at 2:30 a.m., Evesham Police officials say an alert newspaper delivery driver reported seeing a male walking through the yards of numerous homes in the Preamble Development on Church Road.
Evesham officers responded and surrounded the area.
One officer searching the area located an Acura SUV parked near the Tennis courts. That vehicle was unoccupied and determined to be stolen out of Burlington Township. Following a K-9 track leading officers into Mt. Laurel Township, Evesham and Mt. Laurel Officers flooded the area searching for the male.
At approximately 6 a.m., a passing jogger advised an Evesham Officer in the area that they observed two males allegedly looking into vehicles at a neighboring development in Mt. Laurel Township.
That area was surrounded and officers located two males exiting a tree line onto Church Road. The males were allegedly found to be in possession of a backpack full of burglary proceeds.
Arrested:
Two 17 year-old juvenile males, one from Mt. Laurel and the other from Burlington Township, were arrested and charged with numerous counts of burglary and receiving stolen property.
