Free ‘Summer Weddings in the Park’ from Burlington County Clerk now ongoing

Burlington County couples looking to tie the knot this summer have several opportunities.

Last week was the official start of the summer season and it was the start of Burlington County Clerk Tim Tyler’s Summer Wedding Series.

The series offers opportunities to exchange vows at what county officials describe as some of the most beautiful locations in the county over the course of the season.

Tyler joined couples and their families for several ceremonies in Fieldsboro Borough last week and was proud to see them start the next chapter of their lives.

Weddings were also scheduled to take place earlier today, June 25, in the Burlington Township Veterans Park.

For those still looking to tie the knot this summer, Tyler will perform weddings at the Burlington County Agricultural Center in Moorestown and Palmyra Cove Nature Park on Friday, July 20 and Tuesday, Aug. 21, respectively.

Finally, on Friday, Sept. 21, the Historic Smithville Mansion in Eastampton will be the venue for the fifth day of wedding ceremonies.

Weddings at all locations will begin at 3 p.m., with ceremonies scheduled until 6 p.m. Interested couples should contact the Clerk’s Office at (609) 265–5142 to ensure an appointment is available.

Couples will need to obtain a marriage license from the town in which either of the parties resides. It takes 72 hours to obtain the license, so it shouldn’t be left until the last minute.

County Clerk Tim Tyler regularly performs wedding ceremonies for Burlington County residents and persons posted to local military facilities.
