WAMS eighth grader tackling ‘world problems’

Maya Butani received the Best in Fair Coriell Award for best middle school project and went on to compete at the regional Delaware Valley Science Fair. She won first place in her category for the third year in a row for her project in which she created a sensor to detect water contamination. Butani was also recently chosen as a finalist for the ProjectCSGIRLS National Gala in the D.C. metro area this June.

Samaritan masters the art of healing

In an effort to cultivate a serene ambiance, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice in Voorhees has partnered with a trio of South Jersey nature photographers whose work will be displayed as part of the “Art of Healing” exhibit at the facility from June through Oct. 31 with a portion of the sales from the artists’ work benefitting Samaritan’s not-for-profit programs and services.

Life upside down: Seven-year-old gymnast is a New Jersey Champion

Today, 7-year-old Moorestown resident Vivianna Kaeser is the 2018 Level 2 New Jersey state champion in gymnastics. At the Level 2 New Jersey State Championships in May, Kaeser brought home a medal in every event. She took gold in vault, balance beam and the all around competition. Kaeser placed third on uneven bars and floor exercise.
