May 24

  • Patrols received a report of concrete spilling in the roadway from a local business. Contact was made with that company and they responded to clean the mess.
  • Officers responded to a psychiatric call where the caller stated he hears voices in his head and wants help. Officers stood by until EMS transported the subject.

  • Officers responded to the Kohl’s store for a report of a couple screaming at each other inside store. Parties were separated and agreed to leave peacefully.
  • Officers responded to the Sewell section for a homeowner who noticed that his basement window screen was cut. He believes someone attempted to enter his house at some point.
  • Officers responded to the Heritages store on Glassboro Roadd for a female that was acting abnormally. She was found to have active warrants and was also believed to be overdosing on some substance. She was
    transported to the hospital where she refused medical treatment.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a car stop on Route 45. Three occupants were arrested for outstanding warrants.

May 26

  • Patrols responded to a crash on Glassboro Road by Mantua Boulevard in which a vehicle struck a pole, breaking it in half. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • Patrols responded to Buckingham Village for a female acting out of control. She was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and EMS evaluated at the station.
  • Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned litter from the roadways of the township.
  • Ptl. Riepen and his K9 partner, Bane, responded to Woodbury to assist with a track of a suspect believed to have a gun that was running from the police. The suspect eventually turned himself in peacefully.
  • Officers assisted Deptford PD with a crash on Rt 45.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop by the Villages of Berkley and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.
  • Ptl. Layton located a suspicious person at the Mantua Post Office. An occupant was arrested for outstanding warrants.

May 27

  • Ptl. Mroz and his K9 partner, Zuke, assisted Gibbstown officers on a car stop with a vehicle sniff in which there was a positive indication to the vehicle.
  • Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned litter from the roadways of the township.
  • Officers responded to the Wine Warehouse for an intoxicated subject.
  • Officers responded to Buckingham Village for a violation of a restraining order in which a female was sitting on her front porch begging to be let in the house. She was arrested and turned over to the county jail.
  • Officers responded to Centre City development for a loud noise complaint in which a radio was too loud. The homeowner agreed to turn down the music.

May 28

  • Officers participated in the annual Memorial Day parade and ceremony at the municipal building.
  • Officers responded to debris in roadway on Woodbury Glassboro Road that was creating a hazard. The roadway was cleared of the debris.
  • Patrols responded to Glassboro Road near Mantua Boulevard for a motor vehicle crash. Two vehicles were towed from the scene and one person was transported to Cooper Hospital.

May 29

  • Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts.
  • Officers responded to a domestic dispute in which a subject made threatening statements to his wife. Parties decided to separate for a while to calm down.
  • Officers took a fraud complaint in which the victims account was accessed.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash on Main Street by Shadow Place.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash on Rt 45 and Taylor Ave in which a school bus struck a parked car.

May 30

  • Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a mother and her adult son. The mother did not want to press any charges and left the house for the night.
  • Patrols responded to a tractor and semitrailer that had taken down electric lines on a residential street that were low hanging.
  • Officers took a report of burglary and theft to a building on Lambs Road in which landscaping equipment was stolen.
  • Ptl. Lipsett assisted a resident that came to the station to have a child seat installed in their vehicle
  • Ptl. Riepen and his K9 partner, Bane, conducted two back to back vehicle sniffs, one for Mantua PD and the second for Harrison PD. There was a positive indication to both vehicles.
  • Sgt. Herner conducted a car stop and arrested both occupants for outstanding warrants and the driver for possession of heroin.
  • Officers responded to the Pinebrook Apartments for a domestic dispute in which a boyfriend would not leave the girlfriend’s apartment. The male eventually left without charges.
  • A juvenile was bitten on her face by their neighbor’s dog. She was taken to the hospital and Gloucester County Animal Control responded.
  • Officers responded to the Villages of Berkley for a report of two vehicles stolen sometime last night. The vehicles were owned by the same person.
  • Officers assisted a motorist at the Target store who had locked his keys in his vehicle.

May 31

  • Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a couple. It was only an argument and the male agreed to leave the house for the night.
  • An officer was involved in a crash on Glassboro Road by Center Street. He was struck from behind by a driver that did not have a valid license and was eventually arrested for DUI. He was found to be a fugitive
    out of Pennsylvania for DUI.
  • Patrols responded to a solicitation complaint. They located the vendor who did not have a permit from the township.
