On the evening of May 22, Our Lady of Good Counsel had the privilege of honoring their very own by presenting Patrolman Christopher Menges with the Distinguished Alumni Award at graduation.

Patrolman Menges was one of the first responders to the massive fire that took place at the Moorestown Community House in 2015. He was recognized at a Moorestown Council meeting in December 2015 for his heroic acts during what could have been a much more devastating fire resulting in loss of life and even more property damage than what had occurred.

With the help of Menges and the other first responders, the Moorestown Community House was saved and was able to keep their doors open so they could serve the community as it has done for so many years.

Most recently Menges was presented with a Life-Saving Award on March 16, 2018 for his prompt and alert actions utilizing CPR and an AED on July 16, 2017 to save a resident that was in cardiac arrest. OLGC was honored to present Menges with this award and could not be more proud to have him part of the OLGC family.
