The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:
On May 16 at 11:48 p.m., officials with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department say a victim walked into Mt. Laurel Police Headquarters to report a theft and fraudulent use of her credit cards.
Police say the victim reported that she ate dinner at Millers Ale House on Fellowship Road early in the evening.
However, when she arrived home, police say she received a call that someone attempted to use her bankcard, but the transaction was cancelled due to improper PIN entry.
Police say the woman then realized that her credit cards were stolen from her purse.
At that time, police say she cancelled all of her stolen credit cards, but it was determined that one of the cards was already allegedly used at a local store to purchase approximately $3500 worth of merchandise.
On May 21 at 9:45 p.m., patrols responded to the parking lot of 3747 Church Road for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reports that at approximately 9:15 p.m., he ran into one of the stores and left his vehicle unlocked. When he returned a short time later, he determined that an unknown person stole groceries from his vehicle.
On May 21 at 9:24 p.m., patrols responded to Lifetime Fitness on the 3900 block of Church Road for the report of two victims of theft from lockers. Each reported that sometime between 7 and 8:40 p.m. an unknown person entered their locked lockers and stole personal belongings.
On May 21 at 5:14 p.m., patrols responded to a hotel on Route 73 for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reports that sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., an unknown person stole her 2008 Crown Victoria from the parking lot. Video surveillance shows the vehicle exit the lot at 12:42 p.m.
On May 21 at 2:35 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Springdale Road and Church Road for the report of a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a 33-year-old female driver from Maple Shade was impaired, which caused her to crash her vehicle. She was subsequently arrested, processed and charged with DUI and other motor vehicle violations. She was released to a friend pending a future court date.
On May 21 at 11:23 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on East Peachtree Court for a criminal mischief complaint. The victim reports that sometime overnight, an unknown person slashed or punctured the tires of her vehicle and this has been an ongoing issue.
On May 20 at 11:29 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 in the area of Marter Avenue for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that a 21-year-old female driver from Westampton was under the influence. She was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. She was processed and released to a friend pending a future court date.
On May 19 at 10:06 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that there was a quantity of marijuana in the vehicle. A 19-year-old male passenger from Lumberton admitted to possessing the marijuana. He was subsequently arrested, processed and charged on a summons for possession of marijuana. He was released pending a future court date.
On May 19, 2018 at 9:46 pm, patrols responded to the Ramblewood Country Club for the report of a theft. The victim reports that she left her purse in a bridal suite that was locked. When she returned later in the evening she determined that $80-$120 was stolen from her purse.
On May 19 at 3:24 p.m., patrols responded to Prospectors on Route 38 for the report of a stolen cell phone. The victim reported that he was at the establishment eating. When he left, he forgot his cell phone on the table. When he returned to retrieve the phone it was gone.
On May 19 at 12:52 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that a 39-year-old female driver from Mt. Laurel was under the influence. She was arrested and processed and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. She was released pending a future court date.
On May 18 at 10:23 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of I-295. During the investigation, it was determined that there was a quantity of marijuana in the vehicle. A 31-year-old male driver from Washington D.C. was subsequently arrested. He was processed on a summons for possession of marijuana. He was released pending a future court date.
On May 17 at 8:37 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Route 73 and Rogers Walk for the report of a pedestrian involved crash. Investigation revealed that a 71-year-old male from Bordentown attempted to cross the highway outside of a crosswalk or intersection and was struck by a passing motor vehicle. The vehicle did stop after the crash. No charges to the driver. The male was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
On May 17 at 11:43 a.m., patrols responded to a vacant business on the 1000 block of South Church Street for a report of damage to a door. Investigation revealed that an unknown person forced entry into the building causing damage to the door. Nothing reported stolen at this time.
On May 16 at 7:56 p.m., patrols responded to the Game Stop on Nixon Drive for the report of a shoplifting. Patrols arrested a 29-year-old male from Cherry Hill for the shoplifting. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.
On May 16 at 2:23 p.m., patrols responded to the Home Depot on Nixon Drive for a shoplifting complaint. Loss prevention reported that two males shoplifted from the store and left the area in a green Acura. Officers checking the area located the vehicle on Lenola Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 44-year-old male and a 26-year-old male from Philadelphia. Each was charged on a summons with shoplifting, receiving stolen property, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools. The 26-year-old male was also charged with possession of heroin. Both released pending a future court date.
