Seneca High School announces its National Latin Exam Award winners

Seneca had 28 students receive recognition for outstanding achievement.

Seneca High School is proud to announce its National Latin Exam Award winners. In March, Seneca’s Latin students sat for the National Latin Exam. They were joined by over 143,000 students from all 50 states and 24 foreign countries including Australia, Belgium, Japan, Ghana, the United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe. Seneca High School’s Latin program is pleased to announce that 28 of Seneca’s students received recognition for outstanding achievement by scoring above the national average.​

Latin I students who were recognized include: Raquel Quinones (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Kaitlyn Olson (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Shane Lovett (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Carly Carfagno (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Connor Wilson (silver medal, maxima cum), Kirstyn Loftus (magna cum), Krishna Patel (magna cum laude), Madelyn Hunt (magna cum laude), Annabella Sacco (cum laude), Sabrina Capoli (cum laude) and Joseph Pronchick (cum laude).

Latin II students who were recognized include: James Sunbury (silver medal, maxima cum laude) Matthew Teare (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Rachel Tocci (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Jewel Justice (magna cum laude), Grace Stahre (cum laude), Karra Wozniak (cum laude), Toby Megaw (cum laude) and Zachary Rickabaugh (cum laude).

Latin III students who were recognized include: Jimmy Pronchick (gold medal, summa cum laude), Robert Sunbury (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Leea Brodtman (magna cum laude), Mark Tarasewicz (magna cum laude), Lindy Webb (magna cum laude) and John Welling (cum laude).

AP Latin students who were honored include: Hannah Packard (silver medal, maxima cum laude), Jack Brockett (magna cum laude) and Ryan Eno (magna cum laude).
