Washington Township Public Schools Technology Integration Specialist Kathi Kersznowski has accepted an invitation to be the keynote speaker at Richard Stockton University’s Southern Regional Institute and Educational Technology Training Center’s 20th Anniversary Event on Wednesday, May 23, at the campus in Galloway.
Kersznowski’s remarks will be on the topic “Integration Innovation: Learn From the Past, Yearn for the Future.” In addition to the keynote address, Kersznowski also has been asked to present a two-hour session called “Take a Walk Through My Tech-Infused Classroom.”
“I am especially thrilled about this session,” Kersznowski said. “I have a distinct vision for the future of EdTech, and this is a fabulous opportunity for me to share how that can and should work in classrooms of the future.”
Kersznowski will also serve as a representative on the event’s “EdTech Expert Panel,” where she and other EdTech Experts will answer open-ended questions regarding education technology.
“I’m very much looking forward to working with the other experts to share and discuss our ideas about how we can bring purposeful and relevant technology integration to our schools,” Kersznowski said.
Kersznowski has worked as a special education teacher, an elementary teacher and a computer teacher in Washington Township, where she was District Teacher of the Year in 2014–2015. She is a blogger, speaker and presenter on various educational technology, STEAM/STEM and leadership topics. She has been named among the 100 New Jersey Educators to Follow on Twitter, and has been featured on the Women in Education Leadership podcast. Kersznowski is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Trainer and travels extensively to stay on top of educational technology trends. She led the District’s organizing committee for EdCamp Happy Camper, and she’s currently facilitating the Future Ready N.J. certification process for the entire District.
