The Friends of the Library’s books and media sale will run from May 31 to June 3.
Locals can stock up on their summer reading supplies during The Friends of the Library’s next book and media sale scheduled for May 31 to June 3.
The sale will offer thousands of used books, as well as a wide selection of DVDs, CDs and more available in the library’s meeting room in Westampton.
The sale will will run on the following dates at the following times:
· Thursday, May 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
· Friday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
· Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
· Sunday, June 3, from to 4 p.m.
In addition, a preview sale offered to Friends members only will be held on Thursday, May 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Those not already a member of the Friends can become a member at the door for $15 per person, $20 per family, or $10 per senior or senior family.)
Sorted by category, organizers say most of the books being offered were not available at previous Friends’ sales and will cost just 50 cents to $1 each.
Organizers are promoting a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles, including many children’s books, as well as books about history, science fiction, crafts, cooking, business, hobbies, biographies, music, self-help, art, travel, religion, science, technology and more.
In addition, organizers say there will be a selection of specially priced coffee table, art, and oversized books for sale at bargain prices, along with more than 100 specially priced cookbooks in good condition also will be available at this sale.
The Friends also recently accepted a large donation of music CDs, which will cost just $1 each, and DVD movies and audiobooks, which will cost $2 each.
There will even be some individually priced vinyl records available for browsing.
Shoppers can also purchase a Friends logo tote bag for just $10 to carry purchases home, and as a bonus, each bag comes with a $2 discount toward all sale books and media items.
The first 300 shoppers to purchase items will also receive a $1 coupon that may be used at any upcoming Friends sale, including the next one scheduled for Sept. 6 to Sept. 9.
All proceeds benefit Burlington County Library programming, such as the children’s Summer Reading Program and the Museum Pass Program.
