Contestants can win anything from a cruise to Philadelphia Union tickets
The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce’s “You’re a Star, Make a Star Membership Contest” is bringing out the celebrity status of its members with all kinds of swag.
“Our members truly are the celebrities of our organization. So, during this month’s membership contest, we are looking to add even more members to our star-studded cast,” said Les Vail, president and CEO of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign, which starts May 7, awards members who promote membership to other businesses.
For every introduction a current member makes that leads to a conversation about chamber membership, that member will earn one star. For every new member that signs up a referral, that member will earn five stars.
The swag gifts for those earning the most stars is a grand prize of a six day, five night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Caribbean by Colony Travel. Other prizes include a one-year membership to White Oaks Country Club, valued at $750; a $250 Gift Card to Ott’s On the Green and two tickets for all Mainstage 2018 Summer shows; a $250 Rastelli Market Fresh Gift Crate that includes wines, cheeses and more; and two tickets to a Philadelphia Union Home Game, which includes access to the TruMark Financial Club access and free parking.
“This contest is really to show our appreciation to our members for continuing to expand our influence in the region,” Vail said.
The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce is the fifth largest chamber in the state of New Jersey. With nearly 1,000 members, a working relationship with local and state government influencers, strong partnerships with Rowan University and RCGC and other organizations throughout the region, the chamber has become a central merging point for much of the economic vitality in the region.
“Stars are guiding lights if you think about it. And we have nearly 1,000 of them. Adding even more stars to our celebrity members makes everyone’s experience even more successful,” Vail said.
Members bring the referrals and the chamber will bring the swag, Vail said. The largest swag gift is the cruise, which can be used between September, 2018 through April 2019.
“To be working with Colony Travel during this contest goes to show you how our membership works together to make things happen for other members. We are grateful for their participation,” Vail said.
