The swap takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Medford Friends (Quaker) offer a Plant Swap on May 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the front lawn of the Meetinghouse at 14 Union St. in Medford.
“Everyone is welcome,” said member Roberta Foss of Medford. “Visitors can either bring a plant, take a plant — or both. Since Spring is the right time for planting, the sense of the meeting is that a Plant Swap on May 20 is rightly ordered.”
All variety of plants are welcome, including perennials, houseplants, seeds and seedlings, native plants and more. Foss noted that last year’s plant swap was very popular with friends and neighbors, bringing many people together to celebrate Spring and exchange mutual gardening interests.
For more information, call the Meetinghouse at (609) 953-8914 or visit the web site www.medfordfriendsmeeting.org. Information will be available at the swap on sustainable gardening methods, how gardens benefit the environment and many other topics.
The Medford Religious Society of Friends has been meeting continuously at the 14 Union St. site since 1759. The present Meetinghouse dates to 1814. Meeting for Worship is on First Day (Sunday) at 10 a.m., with First Day School at both 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Visitors are always welcome.
