Tabernacle Township Board of Education tabled a resolution for before and after school care
The Tabernacle Township Board of Education tabled a resolution to award a bid for its before- and after-school care services to YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. after several community members spoke against the move.
The proposal would have switched Tabernacle’s before- and after-care services from Safe and Sound School Child Care Services to the YMCA’s Schools Out program.
Seneca High School student takes talents to New Jersey Teen Arts Festival
Kathryn Chromeck, a senior at Seneca High School, has taken her talents of drawing to a new level within the New Jersey Teen Arts Festival and will be showcasing her art during the state festival taking place on May 30, 31 and June 1 at Ocean County College.
Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs program
New Jersey’s Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs program has a goal to engage children ages 7 to 15 in outdoor recreational opportunities and natural resource education as alternatives to drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
This is a free program, with one formal meeting per month on the third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Tabernacle all purpose building, located at 85 Hawkins Road.
