Enjoy an evening from the sounds of soul singer Neshama Carlebach.
Congregation Beth El is presenting a Unity in the Community concert on Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m., featuring world-renowned soul singer, Neshama Carlebach, with The Glory to God Gospel Singers.
Carlebach, a leading superstar in Jewish entertainment, is continuing the legacy established by her father Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. Like her father, Neshama’s talent and charisma captivate and endear her to people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. Neshama has performed and taught in cities worldwide, has sung on the Broadway stage, has sold more than one million records and was a six-time entrant in the 2011 Grammy Awards.
The evening will also honor synagogue past president, Lynn Goldman Paul, with The Outstanding Community Service Award. As a Red Cross volunteer, Lynn has traveled all over the country helping people affected by disasters and assisting them to re-build their lives. In addition, Lynn works with a number of other organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County, Jewish Family and Children’s Service and Samaritan Hospice.
To honor our sense of unity for our global community, non-perishable donations will be accepted that night and distributed to local food pantries.
General admission tickets are $36, which includes a dessert reception following the concert. Sponsorships begin at $180. Sponsors receive reserved tickets and a pre-concert cocktail party. To purchase tickets, visit bethelsnj.org/neshama-carlebach/
