Upon arrival, officers found a 28-year-old man from Willingboro who reported that he was driving northbound on the Burlington Bypass when he was stopped by a large, dark-colored Chevrolet or GMC SUV. The SUV had blue and white emergency-style lights visible on the front windshield and front bumper area. The victim advised that once he was stopped, three black or Hispanic male suspects wearing dark clothing exited the SUV, physically removed him from his vehicle, searched his pockets for money, then threw him to the ground and kicked him before fleeing the area.

The SUV was last seen heading north on the Burlington Bypass toward Fountain Avenue.

The victim was treated at Lourdes Medical Center for minor injuries.

The case is being investigated by the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau, with efforts focusing on attempting to identify the suspect vehicle and its occupants. The police department is asking anybody who has information that may pertain to this investigation to contact Det. Ruben Ortiz-Cruz at 609–386–2019 or rortizcruz95@burltwppd.com.
