Burlington County Freeholders reappoint County Administrator Eve Cullinan to new term

The Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously reappointed Cullinan to a new three-year term during the board’s public meeting this week.

The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously reappointed County Administrator Eve Cullinan to a new three-year term during the board’s public meeting this week.

“As we end Women’s History Month, I am so pleased we will continue to have Eve Cullinan as our county administrator,” Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs said. “We have a proud tradition of women in positions of leadership at the county and Eve is certainly one of them. She has successfully carried out the Freeholder Board’s commitment to smaller, more fiscally responsible government, while still investing in important programs that improve the quality of life for our residents.”

Under Cullinan’s tenure, county officials say Burlington County’s property tax levy has been reduced by $10 million and county spending has been reduced $29.2 million since 2010, with the size of county government having been reduced by 34 percent during the last ten years. According to the county, Burlington County’s government spends fewer tax dollars per resident than any other county in New Jersey.

Officials say Cullinan also worked side-by-side with the board and Rowan College at Burlington County to establish the partnership with Rowan University and launch the “3+1” program where students can earn a four-year degree for less than $30,000.

“Eve’s commitment to Burlington County residents is unwavering,” Gibbs said. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her during my time on the Board. She’s a role model and someone I greatly respect. I look forward to continuing our work in making Burlington County a great and more affordable place to live, work, and retire for everyone.”
