Area digs out after winter storm; utility work to affect Arrowhead Drive

The start of spring in Burlington Township was dominated by a storm that covered the area with about 10 inches of snow. In other news, utility work is going to limit drivers on Arrowhead Drive this week, and the township’s school district is looking for graduates to induct onto its Military Wall of Honor.

Storm didn’t create unsafe conditions

Despite significant snow totals, last week’s storm did not present too many safety hazards, Burlington Township officials said. There were no reports of power outages or fallen trees, Township Administrator Walter Corter said. But students attending public schools in the township did get two snow days.

Military Wall of Honor

Burlington Township School District is looking for the next set of inductees for the Military Wall of Honor. Inductees must have graduated from Burlington Township High School. Honorees must also have been honorably discharged or are currently serving.

Arrowhead Drive utility work

Arrowhead Drive near the Cherokee Trail intersection will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic next week, Burlington Township police said Friday. Utility work on Arrowhead Drive will begin on Monday, March 26 and continue for two to three days, police said. Police asked drivers to use caution when traveling in the area of the work.
