New Superintendent announced at the Thursday, March 22 meeting

The meeting on Thursday, March 22 put an end to the lingering uncertainty after the board voted not to renew Superintendent Richard Perry’s contract last July. During the BOE meeting, not only was a new superintendent was announced, but the HEA contract that was negotiated in December was approved.

Rector Pat Close says farewell to Grace Church

Rector Pat Close is saying farewell after 21 years of service to Grace Episcopal Church in Haddonfield. During college at the University of Maryland, Close studied English with the intention to write the “great American novel” until he discovered that life events would eventually lead him to the church. “The call to ministry was there most of my life,” Close said. “There was always something pulling me toward the church.”

BOE tackles the preliminary budget

School taxes will be increasing again this year, according to the Assistant Business Administrator and Board Secretary Stephen Burns, who presented the preliminary budget at last Thursday night’s meeting. The preliminary budget will be up for approval next month.
