Two of the school’s student-run publications received first place awards from the American Scholastic Press Association.
Two Moorestown Friends School student publications, the 2017 “Cupola” yearbook and the 2017 “IMAGES” literary magazine were awarded first place awards by the American Scholastic Press Association.
The “Cupola” had high scores in all the areas of distinction for a school yearbook including: content presentation, general page design, general photography, publication structure and creativity. The Editors-in-Chief were Aparna Hiremath, Class of 2017, Kirstin McKeown Class of 2017 and Mattie Sloan, Class of 17. Co-advisors were English teacher Emily Salazar and art teacher Nicole Edmund.
The “IMAGES” magazine was judged as showing superior efforts of talented and creative editors, writers, artists, photographers, layout/graphics designers, staff members, contributors and advisor. “IMAGES” scored highly in content coverage, organization, design, presentation and creativity. The Editor-in-Chief was Julia Giordano, Class of 2017. The advisor was Emily Salazar.
