RCCB has been recognized as the best two-year institution in the state for online studies by AffordableCollegesOnline.org.
AffordableCollegesOnline.org has recognized Rowan College at Burlington County as the “best two-year institution in New Jersey for online studies.”
According to RCBC’s Distance Education Office, the school currently offers more than 100 courses, 14 associate degrees and six certificates fully online.
“On average, 44 percent of students are taking at least one online class during the year,” said RCBC Dean of Learning Resources Martin Hoffman.
According to officials, RCBC’s premier partner, Rowan University, was ranked the second best four-year college or university in New Jersey for online programming. RCBC partners with Rowan University’s Rowan Global program to offer RCBC graduates degree completion programs, including ones that are fully online.
Officials say these programs are “ideal” for students who may desire to enroll in a Rowan University program, but need the convenience of online, Saturday, or off-campus course work. For more information on all RCBC and Rowan University pathways, including the 3+1 program, visit rcbc.edu/rowan.
According to the college, to be considered for this recognition, two-year colleges must have at least three online certificates or associate degrees, annual in-state tuition less than $5,000 and an accredited not-for-profit institution.
Officials say the rankings are based on a number of performance metrics, including the following: average in-state net price for first-time/full-time undergraduates, number of online programs, student-teacher ratio, average amount of financial aid students receive directly from the college, availability of academic/career counseling services, availability of job placement services for students and graduates and more.
