East boys and girls swimming fall short in state championship meet

Both the boys and girls swimming teams lost to Bridgewater-Raritan over the weekend.

Cherry Hill High School East boys and girls swimming were both stymied over the weekend against Bridgewater-Raritan High School as both teams lost in their respective state title meets.

The girls swimming team lost to Bridgewater-Raritan, 110–60, on Saturday in the Public Group A state championship. Grace Yoon won first place in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke for the Cougars. Annie Behm took first place in the 100 backstroke.

The boys swimming team saw a long, two-year win streak come to an end in a 92–78 loss to Bridgewater-Raritan in Sunday’s Public Group A state title meet. Jack Watson won first place in the 200 IM, Jackson Brookover took first in the 100 butterfly and Anthony Moon won first place in the 100 breaststroke.
