Find out if you qualify for a government-supplied grant
This year, resolve to accomplish needed home repairs, now possible with funding assistance from the Borough of Palmyra.
This government-funded housing rehabilitation program sponsored by the Borough of Palmyra assists low to moderate income households with eligible repairs or replacement of major systems including roof, electrical safety upgrades, heating, plumbing, lead paint hazard reduction, weatherization (energy efficient windows, insulation, etc.) and/or structural repairs. Assistance is provided in the form of an interest-free loan that is not due payable until you sell your house/transfer title. There is no monthly payment. There is no cost to apply and it does not affect your credit score.
The Borough has retained CGP&H to administer the program. CGP&H’s professional inspector works with program participants to identify needed repairs and to monitor construction completion. The maximum allowable income ranges from $46,600 for a one-person household to $87,850 for an eight-person household. Your financial information is kept confidential. Funds are provided on a first-come first–served basis and limited openings remain.
