Cherry Hill High School West wrestling will have a chance to win its first sectional title in school history on Friday night after the Lions downed Pennsauken High School, 43–22, on Wednesday in the South Jersey Group IV semifinals.
The Lions clinches the win by winning nine of the first 11 bouts. Jayson Peralta, Jaden Reyes and RJ Silver-Cohen all recorded pins for Cherry Hill West. Dimitri Serrano and Xavier Barker got major decision victories for the Lions.
Cherry Hill West will host Highland Regional High School on Friday evening for the South Jersey Group IV title. The winner of the match will then advance to the state championships on Sunday.
