The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:
On Jan. 19 at 12:57 p.m., patrols were dispatched to a residence on Preakness Drive for a report of a robbery.
A victim reported two males, mid-30s, and each with an athletic build, attempted to break into the rear entrance of a residence on Monmouth Drive.
The victim began taking photos of the suspects’ vehicle while in the street. The suspects confronted the victim and demanded his phone at which time he refused to give it to them.
He was then tackled in his driveway by one of the suspects as the other suspect took the phone out of his pocket. The suspects then fled the area. Patrols check the area and could not locate the suspects.
The victim sustained minor injuries. Mt. Laurel Police detectives also responded to the scene to conduct a further investigation.
No have suspects identified at this time, and the investigation ongoing.

On Jan. 22 at 8:19 p.m., patrol officers responded to a store on Nixon Drive for a report of a shoplifting that had just taken place. The manager reported that two males wearing black and gray sweatshirts entered the store, pretended to be interested in purchasing items and then took an iPhone X from the display case and ran from the store. The manager reported the suspects fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. Patrols checked the area but were unable to find the suspects. No suspects identified at this time. Investigation ongoing.
On Jan. 22, 2018 at 8:25 p.m., patrol officers responded to a group home on Union Mill Road in an attempt to locate a juvenile who had an outstanding warrant for violation of a court order from Bergen County. The juvenile was located and taken into custody. A search of the juvenile revealed he was in possession of marijuana. The juvenile was charged with possession of CDS and turned over to Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
On Jan. 21 at 2:16 p.m., patrol officers responded to a hotel on Route 73 for a report of a disturbance. During the investigation, a 24-year-old female provided false information with regards to her identity. Ultimately, the female suspect was identified and it was discovered she was a wanted fugitive from Philadelphia. The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was charged with being a fugitive, hindering, unsworn falsification to law enforcement, and the drug paraphernalia. The suspect was remanded to Burlington County jail.
On Jan. 20 at 10:54 a.m., patrols and EMS responded to a hotel on Fellowship Road for a report of an unconscious 28-year-old female. Paramedics were on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. A friend on location reported the victim had an opiate addiction history.
On Jan. 19 10:36 p.m., patrols and EMS responded to a residence on Danville Court for a report of an unresponsive male. EMS administered a dose of Narcan. Upon regaining consciousness, the male victim turned over and seven suspected baggies of heroin were located. The CDS was seized by police. The victim was not arrested per the overdose prevention act and was transported to Marlton for further care.
On Jan. 19 at 4:46 p.m., a victim reported she left her purse in a shopping cart at a store on Nixon Drive while she was shopping and an unknown suspect stole her purse. The victim reported the purse contained her cell phone, credit card and $20.
On Jan. 19 at 2:26 p.m., patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Country Club Parkway. The driver who showed signs of impairment was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was released to a family member and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.
On Jan. 19 at 1:38 a.m., patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was released to a friend and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.
On Jan. 18, between 6:30 to 7:43 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed the front passenger window of a victim’s vehicle, which was parked at a business on Briggs Road. The victim reported a purse, wallet, headphones and a check book were stolen.
On Jan. 18, between 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed the front passenger window of a victim’s vehicle, which was parked at a business on Briggs Road. The victim reported that a purse, wallet, $200 in cash and credit cards were stolen.
On Jan. 18, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a vehicle parked at a business on Route 38 and stole an Apple laptop and credit cards. The suspects used the credit cards in Cherry Hill. The victim reports he believes his vehicle was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle or damage.
On Jan. 18, between the hours of 12:30 and 3 p.m., a victim was at a restaurant on Centerton Road when she received an email from American Airlines credit card alerting her of possible fraud. The victim then noticed her wallet was disturbed and her credit cards and $130 cash were missing.
On Jan. 18 at 3:15 p.m., a victim reported she left her purse at a self-checkout register at a store on Union Mill Road. The victim reported when she returned back to retrieve it, it was no longer there. During the investigation, an employee informed officers the customer that checked out directly after the victim used their customer card to check out and he had the information on the suspect. Investigation led police to a residence on Stokes Road. Patrols found the stolen purse in the dumpster outside of the residence. The suspect, a female, was arrested and the victim’s purse was returned. The suspect was charged with theft and released pending a future court date.
On Jan. 18 at 8:41 a.m., patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38. During the motor vehicle stop, the driver provided a false name to avoid arrest for outstanding traffic warrants. He was arrested, charged for hindering his own apprehension and turned over to Pennsauken Police Department on outstanding warrants out of their jurisdiction.
On Jan. 18 at 1:08 a.m., patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73. During the motor vehicle stop, the driver admitting to having CDS paraphernalia in his vehicle. Police K-9 Gunner conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted a positive indication that the vehicle contained narcotics and a search was conducted. A search under the driver’s seat revealed a hand rolled marijuana cigarette. The driver was also in possession of another hand rolled marijuana cigarette, a hypodermic needle and a suspected bag on heroin. He was arrested, charged and released pending a future court date.
On Jan. 17, between 3:15 a.m. and 3:16 a.m., an unknown suspect attempted to enter a locked vehicle parked in a driveway on Farmhouse Lane. No entry was gained and the suspect fled the area on foot. The activity was captured on video surveillance. The suspect appeared to be a female, wearing blue jeans, dark colored jacket, tan colored wool hat and women’s shoes (flats). The suspect is seen walking down Farmhouse Lane toward Watson Drive.
On Jan. 17 at 1:38 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to a convenience store on Route 38 for a report of a suspicious person in the store. During the investigation, officers discovered a female who showed signs of impairment. The female was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was released to a family member and issued traffic summonses with a pending future court date.
On Jan. 17, a victim reported she ordered a futon, which was to be delivered to her residence on Crofton Court on Jan. 10. After not receiving the package, the victim contacted Amazon and she was advised the package was delivered. The victim reported she checked the area and found an empty cardboard box inside of the dumpster on Crofton Court which would have contained the futon. There are no suspects at this time.
On Jan. 17, between the hours of 12 a.m. and 8 p.m., a victim reported an unknown suspect stole her red 2018 Kia Sorrento from her driveway on Vassar Road.
A victim reported between Jan. 16, at 7:00 p.m. and Jan. 17 at 7 a.m., an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in front of his residence on Farmhouse Lane. The victim reported his personal belongings were thrown around inside the vehicle and noticed $20 in loose change was missing.
During the overnight hours of Jan. 16, a victim reported that an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway on Sternlight Drive and stole two boxes of handgun ammunition from the trunk of his vehicle.
During the overnight hours of Jan. 16, a victim reported that an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway on Watson Drive and stole her wallet containing various credit cards.
On Jan. 4 at 2:09 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 1000 block of Union Mill Road for the report of a motor vehicle theft. The victim resident reported that his 2017 F250 pickup truck was stolen from his driveway at approximately 1:41 a.m. A male suspect wearing jeans, hoodie, jacket and sneakers was observed on video surveillance covering his face. The vehicle was last seen traveling on Union Mill Road towards Elbo Lane.
On Jan. 3 at 9:21 p.m., patrols responded to an eatery on Centerton Road for a report of a fight in progress. An employee who was involved in the physical altercation reports that while working, she was confronted by a past acquaintance. During the confrontation, the acquaintance struck her with a metal container. The manager of the store broke up the fight and the acquaintance fled the scene in a vehicle. Patrols located the vehicle and the occupants stated that they were involved, however they were the victims of the assault. All involved were advised of the complaint process.
