Lenape JROTC earned the First Place Overall at the recent Delsea Drill Meet.
Lenape High School offers congratulations to the winning Lenape High School Army JROTC Drill Team, which competed against nine other teams from the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia Area on Jan. 15 at the Delsea Drill Meet.
Lenape High School Senior Army Instructor Lt. Col (Retired) Ron Tuczak said the competition was “stiff.”
“Although there were only ten teams, this was the stiffest competition of the year,” Tuczak said. “Every team was very competitive, and three teams had previous experience at our National Drill competition last year at Fort Knox, Ky.”
Lenape JROTC earned the “First Place Overall” to include a First Place LET 1 (first year Cadet) Squad Drill, First Placed Inspection, Second Place Inspection with Drill Rifles, Second Place Platoon with Drill Rifles, and a Third Place Platoon Drill without Drill Rifles.
With this latest win, Lenape’s Army JROTC furthers its First Place standing in the South Jersey JROTC Drill League.
The group’s next competition is Saturday, Feb. 3, at Lenape High School as then school hosts the South Jersey JROTC Drill League Championship.
