Clearview Regional High School Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) students have conducted a successful fundraising campaign for New Jersey’s Bridge of Books Foundation.

The Clearview DECA students have raised approximately $900 and will be recognized on stage at the New Jersey DECA state conference on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Harrah’s Atlantic City Hotel.

Bridge of Books Foundation’s mission is to offer books to the underserved children in New Jersey in order to support the development of literacy skills and encourage a love of reading. Books are collected through book drives, individual donations, publisher overstocks and corporate donors.

“Working on this project was really an eye-opening experience. I did not realize how fortunate we are to be able to have so many books available to us. I found this project to be a great and effective way to help out other teens throughout the state of New Jersey,” said freshman Jennifer Lee.
