Emergency gas line repairs scheduled for Brace Road over next three weeks

The repairs will cause some detours to be placed around the area of Munn Lane this week.

Brace Road will undergo a three-week, 24/7 construction project involving the shifting of both lanes around the work area.

PSE&G will be performing emergency gas line repairs during this time. This work will be occurring around the clock beginning Jan. 15.

Two-way traffic on Brace Road will remain throughout the work periods, with occasional momentary halting of traffic for equipment and machinery to enter or depart from the work spaces. Police will be on location for the entire time.

The first section to be affected is between Pearl Croft Road and Kenwood Drive, in the area of Munn Lane. This area is expected to be under the lane shift conditions for approximately one week, through Monday, Jan. 22.
Munn Lane and Munn Ave will be closed to all traffic at Brace Road during this phase. Residents and through-traffic must utilize detours.

Local traffic using the west side of Munn will need to use Caldwell Road to either Park Boulevard or South Kings Highway in order to go to or from Brace Road.
Local traffic using the east side of Munn will need to use Folkestone Way to Pearl Croft Road in order to go to or from Brace.

The second section receiving repairs will be between Borton Mill Road and Kresson Road, where another lane shift around the work zone will occur. That is expected to last for approximately two weeks from Monday, Jan. 22 through Monday, Feb. 5. No detours are planned for this phase and access will be maintained to and from local businesses.
