On Dec 30 there was a single car accident at Hawkin Road and E Raymond Drive, no major injuries were reported.
On 12/30/2017 at 4:55PM Medford Police, Medford Ems and Fire Units responded to Hawkin Rd/ E Raymond Dr for an overturned motor vehicle. The accident involved one motor vehicle and no injuries were reported. The driver of the vehicle attempted to pass another vehicle when she lost control and ran off the roadway. The vehicle overturned when it came in contact with the embankment and rolled multiple times before resting on its side. During the accident investigation, it was revealed that there was possibly marijuana and drug paraphernalia located inside the vehicle. After speaking with the driver, it was revealed that there was marijuana and a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana residue located in the vehicle. The female juvenile driver was taken into custody and issued a summons for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, improper passing and failure to maintain lane. She was subsequently released pending a juvenile court date.
