Every family has a story, according to the Moorestown Jewish Association. This Hanukkah, the MJA wanted to share those stories, so from Tuesday, Dec. 12 through Wednesday, Dec. 20, the MJA highlighted “Humans of Moorestown” in a series of posts on their Facebook page. Having drawn their inspiration from the popular Facebook page “Humans of New York,” the MJA shared short vignettes providing glimpses into the lives of Jewish families living in Moorestown. MJA co-president Marla Deibler said the goal was to select a different family to light the menorah on the lawn of the Moorestown Community House each night and share their photo along with their story showcasing how Moorestown families celebrate the holiday season.

Neil Rosa remembered: ‘He was a coach to everyone’

Robert Robert said enjoying the success and happiness of others was always Neil Rosa’s top priority. Neil, the long-time athletic director of Moorestown High School, passed away on Monday, Dec. 4 at the age of 63 following a brief battle with leukemia. Neil’s greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, Debby Rosa said. He was a father to his son, Travis, and Debby’s daughters Michelle and Melinda, as well as his grandchildren, Richie, Luke and Logan Bianchi, Kaz Kostidakis and Kayla and Carson Fallon. Robert said on Saturdays and Sundays, Neil and Debby’s house was often the place to be.
