Evesham Police investigating series of vehicle burglaries in area of Woodstream Development

Police say the majority of the vehicles entered were left unlocked, with some having evidence of being forcedĀ open.

The Evesham Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that took place in the area of the Woodstream Development overnight from Dec. 18 into Dec. 19. The majority of the vehicles entered were left unlocked, however a few of the vehicles did have evidence of being forcedĀ open.

ETPD asks all residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and immediately report it to the police. For crimes in progress call 911. For non-emergent situations, contact (856) 983ā€“1111. To leave an anonymous tip call (856) 983ā€“4699.

Police are also providing the following tips to avoid car break-ins:

Ā· Do not leave valuables in plain view (GPS devices, lap tops, cell phones, MP3ā€™s, wallets,Ā purses)

Ā· Do not leave windowsĀ open.

Ā· Do not leave doors unlocked.

Ā· Do not leave keys in theĀ vehicle.

Ā· Do not leave the garage door opener in plainĀ view.

Ā· Do not leave out items with personal information.

Ā· Move valuable items to the trunk while in publicĀ view.

Ā· Slow Down and use common sense before leaving aĀ car.
