The songwriting collective will perform on Sunday, Dec. 3
Music at Bunker Hill presents Founders Ensemble on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. Founders is a songwriting collective that combines classical and folk music with original compositions and pop arrangements. With songs ranging from Appalachian themed originals to Radiohead covers to art songs using famous poetry, Founders is reimagining the boundaries of musical styles. They are “unlike anything else out there right now,” according to New York Music Daily.
These five conservatory trained musicians bring a fresh perspective on songwriting. They have worked with acclaimed songwriters such as James Taylor and Sting, as well as with elite classical ensembles such as Canadian Brass and Mahler Chamber Orchestra. With acoustic instruments and their unique musical vision, Founders is forging a new path for audiences.
