The Mt. Laurel Library is offering “a big thank you” to the Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library during National Friends of Libraries Week.
This year’s week runs from Oct. 15 through Oct. 21, and marks the 12th annual event.
According to United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association, the group is coordinating this year’s event and supports citizens who govern, promote, advocate and fundraise for libraries.
According to United for Libraries, the celebration offers a multi-fold opportunity to celebrate Friends groups by using time to creatively promote a group in one’s community, to raise awareness and to promote membership.

The next Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library “Bargain Book & Media Sale” will run Oct. 25 to Oct. 28 at the Mt. Laurel Library.
Members of the Friends are invited to the “Preview Night” that Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join then.
The sale will be open to the public on that Thursday from noon to 8:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Bag Sale will be held all day on Saturday.
