Marlton resident opens haunted yard tour to the public to raise money for breast cancer awareness
Marlton resident Virginia Onofrio is opening her haunted yard tour to the public once again this year to raise money for breast cancer awareness. This year, Onofrio will hold three tour dates on Friday, Oct. 20, Saturday, Oct 21 and Friday Oct. 27, all from 6 to 10 p.m., at her residence at 517 Parliament Road. All money raised from the event will go to Susan G. Komen.
LRHSD to hold substance abuse expo and presentation from former NBA player Chris Herren on Oct. 19
Parents and guardians throughout the Lenape Regional High School District are invited to learn about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse from someone who experienced them firsthand, when former NBA player Chris Herren returns to the district Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. for a special presentation at the district’s substance abuse awareness expo.

Evesham Police have announced Officer Jeremy Borden and his K-9 Spike as the ‘Officer of the Month’ for September. Police Borden and his K-9 are being commended for tracking down an unstable, suicidal female and her small child.
Evesham Police look for suspect who allegedly stole $100 from Chipotle cashier
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Sept. 22, the Evesham Police Department responded to the Chipotle Mexican Grill, 882 N. Route 73, for a male who allegedly stole $100 during a diversion scam. Police say an investigation determined that the male allegedly utilized a diversion style scam to distract and confuse the cashier during a transaction.
Pine Barons Barbershop Chorus to perform at Wiley Church Nov. 4
The Pine Barons Barbershop Chorus will present a concert on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Wiley Church, 99 E. Main St. in Marlton. No tickets will be required to attend this event, but there will be a free-will offering to help support Wiley Church.
