The Moorestown Friends School will host “The Intersection of Quaker Values with Student Leadership” symposium on Thursday, Oct. 12.
On Thursday, Oct. 12, Moorestown Friends School will host “The Intersection of Quaker Values with Student Leadership,” a symposium in fulfillment of the Middle States Association Accreditation Process.
The symposium is being co-hosted by Friends Council on Education. The school will welcome educators from Friends schools across the country, including many Heads of School, to explore the intersection between student leadership and Quaker values.
MFS will share findings from its recent work with new student programs in this area. In addition, participants will engage in roundtable discussions and share Quaker education initiatives underway at their schools. Attendees will bring back to their schools stimulating questions, programmatic ideas and a strengthened network of colleagues.
The day’s schedule includes:

- 1 p.m. Welcome and keynote by Larry Van Meter, MFS Head of School, Meeting House
- 1:30 p.m. Hands-on Introduction to the MFS Peer Leadership Program, Meeting House

- 2:30 p.m. Interactive Introduction to the MFS Servant Leadership Course, Dining Hall
