Mt. Laurel’s Persante Health Care is set to host its annual American Cancer Society 5K Walk to raise money for breast cancer research on Oct. 22 at Cooper River Park.
Persante Health Care is a provider of Sleep Diagnostic Services in New Jersey and six other Northeastern states, with 250 employees and a heavy concentration in South Jersey.
Through Persante Health Care, the “Persante Cares” committee organizes fundraisers for employee engagement and charitable giving, with one of the biggest fundraisers focusing on Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Throughout the month, the committee has organized a number of activities such as 50/50 raffles, back sales, Chinese auctions and more leading up to 5K Walk at Cooper River Park on Oct. 22.
According to officials with Persante Health Care, last year’s walk raised more $2350, and this year the group is looking to beat that goal.
