Music, cheerleaders, a balloon arch, confetti canons and a fog machine welcomed Bunker Hill Middle School students to the boisterous first Township Tuesday of the year assembly, and Week of Respect kickoff, on Oct. 3. Students lined the hallways chanting words of kindness and BHMS pride. Although the atmosphere was full of excitement, the message from WTHS Football Coach Lamont Robinson on respect, responsibility, character and values was inspirational

Hurffville Elementary School first graders are collecting monetary donations to assist the victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico through the month of October. Also, while Washington Township High School Visual and Performing Arts Supervisor will retire in early November, Robert Frampton will look forward to a final send off with the Marine Band concert on Oct. 28. Hurffville Elementary first graders give back to Puerto Rico

Hurricanes Irma and Maria were devastating to Puerto Rico. While much of the U.S. territory is still living without electricity, food and water, and access to the island is limited, many citizens are in desperate need of help. Hurffville Elementary School’s first-grade class has chosen United For Puerto Rico as its relief effort through October to raise funds for the victims affected by these natural disasters.

Retiring on the right note

After approximately 39 years in the educational field, instilling the passion for music and the arts in the students and teachers he encountered, Robert Frampton will retire to the tune of “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band on Oct. 28 in the Washington Township High School Investors Bank Performing Arts Center.

Williamstown man arrested for up-skirt photos at Turnersville Walmart

Following an investigation involving up-skirt photographs of a female shopper at the Turnersville Walmart on Sept. 26, Washington Township police have arrested a 26-year-old Williamstown male on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The suspect was charged with invasion of privacy and harassment and was released pending a future court date.
