Shop Washington Township Property Tax Rewards Program
On Sept. 21, I was happy to present the Shop Washington Township Program to local businesses, along with Councilwoman Angela Donato, Councilwoman Dana Pasqualone, Councilman Joe Perry, our sponsor Republic Bank and the representatives from Property Tax Card. This special Town Hall meeting was held to inform local businesses about the program and how to become involved. There were more than 40 local businesses in attendance, and many expressed interest in participating in this program. I am looking forward to involving a mix of businesses that will cater to all residents. Once we have completed onboarding for businesses, we will have the pleasure of rolling out the program to residents to use their cards to earn property tax rewards for shopping in Washington Township. I am excited by the positive feedback and enthusiasm my office has received in speaking with businesses and residents about this new program. If you own, or know of, a local business that is interested in joining the Shop Washington Township Program, please contact Alicia Rotella at [email protected].
Serenity Home Health Care & Nursing Solutions grand opening and ribbon cutting
I had the pleasure of welcoming another new business to Washington Township. Serenity Home Health Care & Nursing Solutions had their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 26. I was honored that owner LaNette Keeton invited me to be a part of her exciting day. There were many family members and friends of hers that were there to support her opening this new location. LaNette is quite a presence in the business community. She is a member of the South Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Gloucester County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Burlington County Chamber. Serenity Home Health Care & Nursing Solutions specializes in the home care of loved ones. If you are interested in home care for a loved one in your family, you may visit Serenity Home Health Care & Nursing Solutions at 508 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Suite 16 in Sewell. I would like to wish them many years of success as part of the Washington Township business community.
Home Depot safety event
I would like to personally invite all our residents to the Community Safety Day to be held at the Washington Township Home Depot. Washington Township Office of Emergency Management, the fire department, police department, EMS and Gloucester County OEM have teamed up with Home Depot to hold this event, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 7 at Home Depot, 2735 Route 42 in Sicklerville, from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a family-friendly event and is free. Several safety demonstrations and stations will be set up, including a police K-9 unit demonstration, a fire department auto demonstration, a presentation about preparing for a storm and traffic safety review. This will be a great opportunity for residents to spend some time getting to know our emergency management personnel in a fun environment that will inform about emergency preparedness.
