Writer provides steps to improve the country’s candidacy requirements
In an effort to improve our electoral process, we could disqualify those candidates whose net worth exceeds $10 million. Their social stratification has lifetime immunity to all the perils and pitfalls of the middle class and working poor. Too many of them regard themselves enrolled patrons rather than public servants.
Another improvement could be a ban on all campaign commercials on television. The only real effect they have is not to inform, but only to enrich the media conglomerates while annoying us. Also, we could ban all roadside campaign signs that litter our roads about every 10-feet. Maybe we could institute a voluntary polygraph process for all candidates. Who’s going to decline?
In today’s world of ever encompassing technology, artificial intelligence is the wave of the future. If it can be used in cars and robots, maybe it can be implemented in government. After all, robots can’t lie, steal or owe anyone a favor, can they?
