What’s open and closed during Rosh Hashanah?

Some places of business around Cherry Hill will have modified hours or will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins at sundown tonight and will continue through Friday. Due to the holidays, some places around Cherry Hill Township will have modified hours over the next two days. Here is a rundown of some places that are open or closed on Thursday and Friday.

Post offices: Post offices will be open for regular hours on both Thursday and Friday. Mail delivery will take place on both days.

Cherry Hill Public Library: The library will be open during its normal hours on Thursday and Friday.

Cherry Hill Public Schools: All schools are closed both Thursday and Friday to students and staff.

Katz JCC: The Katz JCC closed at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for Rosh Hashanah and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday. The JCC re-opens on Saturday at 7 a.m.

Banks: Nearly all banks, including TD Bank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and PNC Bank, are open for their regular hours on both Thursday and Friday.

Cherry Hill Mall: The mall will be open for its regular hours on Thursday and Friday.
