Police say the incident occurred on Sept. 8, as Evesham Police conducted an investigation into the illegal sale of heroin in town.

On Sept. 8, members of the Evesham Police Investigative and Proactive Unit conducted a proactive narcotics investigation into the illegal sale of heroin in Evesham Township.
The investigation led to the arrest of a Pennsauken and Camden male involved in the distribution of Heroin in Evesham. During the investigation, in an attempt to destroy drug evidence, police say one of the subjects is suspected of allegedly ingesting several bags of heroin prior to being arrested.
Police say the male was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was subsequently remanded to the Burlington County Jail.
Arrested:
A male, age 25, of Pennsauken, was charged with third-degree criminal attempt to distribute heroin and fourth-degree destruction of evidence. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
A male, age 24, of Camden, was charged with a disorderly persons offense for loitering to sell a controlled dangerous substance. He was released on his own recognizance.
