New Life Animal Rescue could win up to $10,000 with enough online votes by Sunday, Sept. 10.
Ten animal rescues and shelters are competing for the chance to win their share of $25,000, including a $10,000 grand prize, courtesy of Tractor Supply Company’s “Rescue Your Rescue” contest.
According to Tractor Supply, the finalists — selected among more than 3,600 nominations received during the first round of the contest — represent a diverse group of rescues and shelters, specializing in everything from disabled and elderly pets to groups that are trying to care for every animal that comes to them.
The only New Jersey finalist among the 10 ten is Marlton-based New Life Animal Rescue.
To determine the final standings, Tractor Supply is asking the public to vote for their favorite shelter story through Facebook.com/TractorSupplyCo through Sept. 10.
The shelter that receives the highest number of votes will be presented with a $10,000 check during Tractor Supply’s Pet Appreciation Week main event celebration on Sept. 16. The remaining nine shelters will also receive grants ranging from $200 to $5,000.
During Pet Appreciation Week, held Sept. 13 through Sept. 17 this year, Tractor Supply stores across the country will also celebrate pets and animals and collect supplies for local animal shelters and rescues.
