Donate old uniforms and redeem new ones.
On Friday, Sept. 8, drop off gently-used uniforms at Sicklerville United Methodist Church, located at 406 Church Road, Sicklerville, NJ from 6:30 to 8pm.
Uniforms must be washed without stains or holes. The volunteer staff has the right to turn down items not in proper condition. School backpacks may also be donated.
For every uniform item drop off, individuals will be given a ticket towards redeeming another item of their choice. They may use tickets for available clothing at the swap and will get first access to the swap as a thank you for donating.
On Saturday, Sept. 9., the swap will run from 9 to 9:45 a.m, for those who donated on Friday. Individuals are reminded to bring their tickets, as they will be allowed to redeem as many tickets as they were given.
For everyone else, the event will run from 10 to 11 a.m.
Students must be accompanied by an adult, and only adults may “purchase / exchange” uniforms. High school students may enter the swap alone with valid high school IDs.
Anyone with a child in Winslow Township Schools is invited to pick up free items during the swap. Those that already picked up items using tickets may also come back to browse other items.
Thanks to The Unforgotten Haven, the schools have a limited number of backpacks and school supplies, which will be given out on a first come, first served basis. They also have a limited number of gently-used winter coats and accessories for those in need, as well.
